Law firms · Nationwide

The intake call you missed at 6pm is booked for Tuesday.

People do not call a law firm twice. If nobody answers, they call the next firm on the list and you never learn it happened. Zenith answers, takes enough to route the matter, and books the consultation — without ever offering an opinion on it.

  1. Zenith at 18:42: Good evening, this is the front desk at Harding & Cole. The office is closed, but I can take your details and get you booked in. Broadly, what is it about?
  2. Customer at 18:43: i got rear ended last month and the insurance is lowballing me
  3. Zenith at 18:43: Understood, that's the sort of matter the attorneys here take on. Can I get your name and the best number for you?
  4. Customer at 18:44: Marcus Bell. do i even have a case
  5. Zenith at 18:44: That is genuinely an attorney's call and I won't guess at it. I have consultations Tuesday at 9am and Wednesday at 2pm — book one here and they'll go through it properly: hardingcole.com/consult

Three minutes, and not one word of legal advice.

Where intake actually leaks

  • Somebody in distress calls three firms in an afternoon and retains the first one that answers.
  • Evenings and weekends are when people finally sit down and make the call.
  • A paralegal doing intake is a paralegal not doing billable work.
  • One missed intake call can be worth more than a month of overhead.

What callers want before they ever speak to an attorney

Almost all of it is scheduling, fees and whether you handle their kind of matter. Zenith answers those and routes everything else to a person.

  • Book a job

Consultations. It offers your open windows and sends the booking page.

  • Price question

Whether the consultation is free, and how you charge. It states your terms and nothing beyond them.

  • Service area

Which practice areas and which states, so the wrong matter never books a slot.

  • Job status

Existing-case questions are routed to the firm, never answered.

  • Spam

Vendor and solicitation calls are filtered out before they reach anyone.

Multiple attorneys and practice areas are supported under one account, so a caller is routed by the kind of matter rather than by whoever is free. We work with businesses anywhere in the US. Zenith is software and messaging, so there is no service radius.

Law firms questions we get asked

Will it give legal advice?

No, and that is the point. It will never say whether somebody has a case, what the law says, what a deadline is, or what anything is worth. Those go to an attorney every time. It is the front desk, not a lawyer, and it is told so explicitly.

How much does it take from a caller?

Deliberately little: a name, a number, and a sentence on what kind of matter it is. It does not take the whole story. Somebody who has narrated everything to a machine believes they have been helped and believes they have been taken on, and you may not even be able to act for them.

What about conflicts and confidentiality?

Because intake is kept shallow, what reaches you is a name, a number and a matter type — enough to run your own conflict check before anyone hears anything substantive. Nothing is disclosed to the caller about existing clients or matters.

15 minutes. Bring your call log.

We'll count what you actually missed last month and tell you what it cost. If it's not worth fixing, we'll say so.

Or go break the demo first. It costs you nothing to test.
